Notification Templates
Editing notification templates and merge fields
Customize subjects, header titles, and message bodies while preserving supported template variables.
Updated August 22, 2026
Edit a template
- 1Open Settings → Notifications and select the template card for the event.
- 2Edit Subject, Header title, or Body. The supported {{fields}} are listed below the editor.
- 3Keep the braces and field names exactly as shown so values can be replaced at send time.
- 4Save the card. A custom badge indicates that the default wording has been changed.
- 5Use Restore default only when you want to discard the custom wording for that template.
When a message does not arrive
- Check that the template is enabled.
- Check the brand contact email and notification-consent flags.
- Open Notification History and inspect the issue message on a failed or skipped entry.
- For invoice reminders, confirm the invoice is Sent or Partially Paid and still has a balance.
Tip:Business name values come from your Business Profile. Existing custom templates are not overwritten when Collably updates default wording.
